With this work, I wanted to further the ideas that I was exploring with the shadow book. I was staging a piece that can be entirely projected onto. I took imagery from my experiences growing up in the midwest and balanced the general with the specific. Ducks and cattails have been a common motif where I grew up and are hopefully relatable in some ways. A bedside table is specifically a very personal place. They represent the user so specifically that you cannot help but wonder who the owner is.
