I was gifted a stranger's enormous collection of stamps. I am exploring multiple pieces with this collection, but this piece was focusing on size comparison. The small-framed stamp is called I am worthless without my sisters. I learned that stamps are more valuable if they have printing mistakes. If the color is too pink or if the print is accidentally upside-down the price at auction sky-rockets. The framed stamp specifically is worth much more when there are four of them and even more when one of them is accidentally printed upside-down. Framing a single stamp makes it useless, but also important. The frame demands respect. The newspaper cut-out shows a story about a woman who inherited a collection of stamps that ended up being a fortune. It is quite sad that the collection that was given to me is worthless. The daughter of the collector pressured me into talking boxes and boxes of them. Her father's life collection is all for naught. But, it did seem to bring him joy. The collection told me a lot about the collector too.
